Hello all! My name is Debbie Pérez-Casanova, and I'm a Junior concentrating in the History of Art & Architecture, with a secondary field in Medieval Studies. I have always had a deep passion for art history and have been fortunate enough to be able to pursue this interest through my academic and professional experiences, and this course on Museums is another perfect opportunity for me to come closer and examine critically the existence of museums and their administrative and planning exercises. As someone who engages in graphic design as a hobby, I'm also extremely excited to work with you all to help create exhibits and programs for African art in the museum, as it is such a rich cultural segment of global history that is unfortunately not well represented in our institutions.
